Music Opportunities

Music/MultiMedia Opportunities at First Presbyterian

Music has always been vital to the life of FPC. We seek to
provide expression for a wide range of musical tastes by encouraging a music ministry of diversity and excellence. We see the purpose of music at FPC to bring glory to God and blessing to God's people. We encourage all adults and children of all ages to participate in the musical opportunities offered. With our music team’s talents, the choir and special vocal and instrumental music is a powerful tool of the Spirit to inspire us to praise and devotion to Jesus Christ. A state-of-the-art Roland electronic piano was recently purchased by the church.

The Multimedia Ministry: On Sundays members of our team can be found in the back of the sanctuary running the sound system and recording the service. CD's of the service are delivered on request to homebound congregation members and to anyone else who requests a copy.

Sermons are converted to MP3 format and placed on FPC website.

Through the efforts of a small team of people, the Gospel is brought to anyone using current multimedia technology (audio and web). We welcome anyone who may be interested in joining our Ministry.

CHOIR

Those who like to “sing and make melody in their hearts to the Lord” come each week to be part of the choir. Music of all styles is rehearsed Wednesday evenings in preparation for worship services each Sunday. In addition to the regular schedule, other services and concerts provide opportunities for the choir to present challenging and beautiful music for the area. Additional members are always being sought for "active duty."

Music that lifts up Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and exalts our sovereign God is an important component of the Worship Service. The praise team, along with the choir, leads the worship on Sunday morning. The team consists of members who use instruments and their musical talents to glorify God. This worship is enhanced with a projection system that displays words of songs with visual presentation.
Additional team members are needed to be a part of this exciting service in the life of our church. If you enjoy singing or playing contemporary Christian praise and worship music, consider joining the team as part of your offering to the Lord.
